The Annual Report for 2020 covers NATO’s work and achievements throughout the year, including NATO’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, its efforts to ensure the health crisis did not become a security crisis, and the NATO 2030 initiative to future-proof the Alliance. …
The Annual Report includes the results of new polls on the public perception of the Alliance. These show that, in a year of upheaval, overall support for the NATO Alliance, the transatlantic bond and collective defence remains strong.
The Report also includes the details of estimated 2020 national defence expenditures for all 30 NATO Allies.

Sehr provokant: “Die Verlegung von US-Truppen nach Europa im Rahmen des Großmanövers Defender Europe 21 ist eingeleitet worden. Das geht aus US-Berichten hervor. Demnach werden Tausende US-Soldaten im April in Europa eintreffen, um dort weiter in Richtung russische Grenze zu marschieren. Schwerpunktgebiet ist dieses Jahr nicht, wie 2020, das Baltikum, sondern Südosteuropa sowie insbesondere die Schwarzmeerregion.

Die Kosten für die deutsche Teilnahme beziffert das Verteidigungsministerium nach Telepolis-Informationen auf bisher 2,9 Millionen Euro. Deutsche Kräfte sollen von Manöverbeginn bis zum 9. Juni in Rumänien und Ungarn den Einsatz von Nato-Kräften in Europa proben.
