Normale Kriegseinsätze haben die unschöne Nebenwirkung für die kriegführenden Regierungen, dass die eigenen Soldaten tot oder als Krüppel in die Heimat zurückkehren. Das kann die Kriegsmoral stören. Und hier kommen die Drohnen ins Spiel. „Die US-Regierung setzt Drohnen ein, um das Risiko für ihre Soldaten und damit die innere Opposition gegen den Krieg zu minimieren.“
