Webinar: BUILDING AN OCEAN OF PEACE
Join the Pacific Peace Network on Saturday, July 4 at 11:00am Brisbane for a webinar: BUILDING AN OCEAN OF PEACE; Resisting RIMPAC 26 – No to NATO in the Pacific and Towards a Sustainable Nuclear-Free Pacific. (Find the time in your time zone)
For many communities across the Pacific, 2026 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) military exercises scheduled for 24 June – 31 July represent a continued expansion of militarization in the region. These large-scale war exercises heighten regional tensions, increase the risk of conflict, and divert resources away from addressing the urgent social, economic, and environmental challenges facing the region.
OPENING: Sharon Bhagwan Rolls, Fiji | Fiji Island feminist and peacebuilder whose work sits at the intersection of gender, media, communications, climate justice and peacebuilding.
