The international demonstration will be the highlight of the activities. It will go through Strasbourg on Saturday, April 4th.
Beginning: 1 p.m. near the Europe Bridge on the French side (Route du Rhin). The location of the final rally and many more details e.g. concerning the route have still to be negotiated with the local authorities.
For that purpose the “Ostermarsch Baden-Württemberg” in 2009 “51 Jahre Ostermarsch: Nein zur NATO, Nein zum Krieg!” (51 years Ostermarsch: No to NATO, No to war) (see: http://www.friedenskooperative.de/netzwerk/om09-102.htm) leads from Kehl to Strasbourg on 4 April. Initial rally: 11 a.m., marketplace in Kehl. Information: http://www.friedensnetz.de
We will express our protest against NATO in a colorful, manifold, enourmous and peaceful way.
Freedom of opinion and freedom to demonstrate certainly imply that we should have the right to demonstrate in Strasbourg city as well as at the same time as the NATO-summit takes place. This basic right must be secured again in Strasbourg – and this time against Sarkozy’s authoritarian state. Subsequently: participation in the demonstration.
